She is praying her brother will not have to mentor her this year, but things take an unexpected turn as her best friend, Peeta Mellark, is selected in the reaping. - Author's note: This is imagined to take place in the first Hunger Games book, Peeta's first games. The whole event of the Hunger Games remains the same in the book. Some new characters are added but the original book characters are the same. Also, some facts may not be exact because I'm not referring back to the books for accuracy. Spoiler Alert for all three Hunger games books as well as the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Probably not a lot but still. Also I don't think there even will be for Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes cause that isn't even related to Peeta but whatever. Better safe than sorry, I guess.
