A meet-cute later in life romcom set twenty years later from the Farmers first year in Pelican Town. Two middle-aged widowers, one ruined petticoat, and a Flower Dance that goes considerably better than expected. (BackStory notes: The farmer was married to Harvey until he passed three years ago 😭 The general store was sold to a new family 10 years ago after Pierre died under mysterious circumstances, and Caroline and Abigail move to a hippie commune. ☮️ 😂. Now back to our story...) ------ It's the day before the Spring Flower Dance, and Miss Amy just needed a few things from the General Store. She went in to do some shopping, but she did not need to lose her petticoat to a pickle barrel. She especially did not need Thomas Whitmore - widower, shopkeeper, stubbornly single for ten years - to get down on one knee to help her out of it. And she absolutely did not need him to walk her home, share a drink at the Stardrop, ask her to dance, and make her feel like spring had arrived twice in one day. But here they are.

Uniformity. That's what Joja demanded of their employees and that's what was slowly eating away at Mey and Isa. Trapped in a 9-5 desk job for over five years they had little hope for their future until an opportunity like no others lands in their lap. A farm, left to them by the man they had come to consider their grandfather before his unfortunate passing. Unable to pass up the opportunity despite the many risks associated they set off for Pelican Town, for a farm they don't know how to manage, a house they have never seen before, in a town filled with people they don't know. It will be hard work, but the possibility of friendship, love, happiness and a simple life is worth it.

From her days as a city girl working at Joja Co. to becoming a farmer in the quaint, charming town of Pelican Town, she experienced a profound transformation. Amidst the lush fields and close-knit community, she met a variety of fascinating individuals, but one person truly captured her attention: Sebastian. With his introspective demeanor and unique perspective on life, he stood out from the rest, igniting a spark of curiosity and connection that would change her journey forever. --- This story is entirely fictional and inspired by the game Stardew Valley. Harvey, the kind, shy doctor meets Lilith, the new farm girl who lives at Applecore orchard, just outside of pelican town. Lilith is "different", moving to her late grandfather's farm to escape her old life in the city working at Jojamart. She frequents the doctor's office, accidents on her new farm or the mines, and her eyesight issues. What will they have in common? What are their differences? What love could spark from this odd couple?

When your grandfather died, leaving you by yourself, he left you his entire farm in a tiny city in Pelican Town. As you try and figure out the beginnings of farming, you also encounter many other citizens in the city, some to be friends with, some to love, and some to fight.

Stardew Valley. A region of the Ferngill Republic. It is within the valley that the small Pelican Town is located. It lies just a tad bit north of the Gem Sea. With yet a small population of only over 30 people, this rural area of the Republic rarely has any visitors, nor any outsiders for that matter. Despite its geological abundance of resources and rich history, it is often overlooked by larger towns and cities nearby. One such city is Zuzu City, which lies within the Calico Desert. The Ferngill Republic is, regrettably, at war with the nearby Gotoro Empire. It went from an economic battle, to some skirmishes at the Gem Sea, to full on large-scale war. Because of that, the war effort that had been quite dormant skyrocketed and conscription went through the roof. One corporation that plays quite an important role in the war is the Joja Corporation. A megacorp that seems to cover shipping, warehousing, distribution, mining activities, emergency medical services, and energy drink production. Joja Corporation is responsible for approximately 45% of the war efforts thanks to their wide range of amenities. The Joja Headquarters is in The Capitol City of the Ferngill Republic. Pelican Town is not heavily affected by the war. Only one citizen was conscripted into the war. However, the life of all the people in that town was about to change - due to the arrival of a new farmer.

She has to learn completely new skills, and meet and befriend the townspeople. She somehow manages to get some new friends, few 'enemies' and maybe - just maybe - even manages to fall for someone. But who would actually love someone like her? // I do not own any of the characters that live in the Pelican town (Except the main character) // The start is/can be pretty boring. This is just a first draft, and really rough one. And that yellowish thing on the character's head on the cover. Yeah.. That's at least supposed to be a hat.

Now, there are some clarifications that I would like to make: - This is a trans male reader x character, since there is nothing like this or there are just one shots and not a whole fic, and because this'll be important for the story that I have in mind too. But, I'll rewrite this for the cis male readers (not in profile yet, tho you can still read this as I'm not going to touch this topic really soon, probably just body disphoria but you can read it as body dismorphia, since I'm still working on it). - Reader is intended to be neurodovergent-coded, not fully but there will be some traits (anxiety, struggles with communication, dissociation, stimming, etc). - As one of the tags said, there won't be any smut. This since I'm an aroace person and, honestly, I don't know how to write this kind of stuff, not that I'm disgusted but just don't know how to write that. Probably it would be just written something like... slightly touching that moment(?) if I ever write it but idk, we'll see. - This will be written and read from the pov of reader and Sebastian.
