Emily is a girl who lives in Newark, a town in New Jersey. Frank is a boy who happens to live just down the street. In the several years he's lived there, they've never run into each other. Until one day, they have a chance meeting that will change their lives forever. Emily has had a hard time ever since her sister died seven years ago. Her parents definitely didn't make it any easier for her after that. In fact, they were the ones who made her life hell. She was never very good at making friends or keeping them until she runs into Frank, a punk boy, at the local record store. She can't stop thinking about him. Little does she know, he can't stop thinking about her either. She can't wait to see him again but she forgot to get his number. Will she be able to? All she knows is his first name and the school logo on his shirt. How will she find him? Or will he find her? This part of my life takes place around Christmas we're I flunked out of Pencey Prep. Normally this wouldn't be a problem considering I flunk out of a lot of schools. However my parent didn't know about my flunking and I didn't feel like confronting them about it. I'm not expected to be home until wensday for Christmas break so in order to avoid confronting my parents until then I decided to take a small vacation around the city. There were a lot of times we're I just felt really depressed so I'm order to get rid of that feelings I wrote all of my experiences in this book. The reason why I'm publishing it now if because I couldn't figure out how to publish my story until now we're I found the publish button on the top right hand corner. Any idiot could have figured that out. This must make me the lousiest idiot in the world. You could determine that once you hear my experiences yourself. As for children who are approaching this, do me a favor and don't read it. I would rather you keep your innocence a little longer rather than listen to me complain about my life which I'm now realizing is a lot more mature than I realized.

My cane bumps over the cracks in the sidewalk as I walk down the street. It's hard to tell where I am and I suddenly feel very self conscious; I know I'm walking too slowly and people are probably staring at me. I'm still not used to it. I don't think I'll ever get used to it. My walking stick catches in what I think must be some sort of pothole, causing me to stumble and fling my arms out to catch myself, though my hands never hit the concrete. "You good?" I don't recognise the voice. It's not very deep though it is distinctly male, and instantly I want him to speak again.

Audrina Watkins lives an apartment building with her mom that works all the time. During her senior year, a new boy, Frank Iero moves down the hall and is in her grade.
