*** "Promise me, Daniel!" I grasped his chin and brought his face down to mine. His calloused thumb gently rubbed away the tears falling from my eyes that matched his own. "I promise, my love. We will find our way back to each other. Our love can free us from anything sweetheart. Everything is going to be okay." The thumping of our heartbeats matched the fierce galloping of Master's horses as they traveled closer. Daniel's arms encircled my waist and pulled me into his chest. "My bounty is as boundless as the sea. My love as deep; the more I give to thee. The more I have, for both are infinite." As the overseer and his henchmen came closer to our hiding spot, Daniel quoted Shakespeare telling me of his love. "I love you so much, Sophie. Nothing will keep us apart." I looked up at Daniel's face and saw him staring outside of the tree hollow where we are hiding. The vicious barking of dogs shattered the strength that I had left. I slowly turned my head and saw the overseer and Master, Daniel's father staring right back at us. "We've finally found you..." ***

Due to the fallout, some humans keep their shape but their genes mutate and they develop abilities. Some go invisible, some can project memories for all to see, some have super strength. Mara's been a mutant since she was a teen, after wandering into a radioactive cave in the 1930's. She's tasked with showing two new members the ropes after being called to the Box one night. Little did anyone know, danger lurked in the shadows...

Jazz is dying and she knows it. The only thing she ever wanted to do was to explore the world, but her illness has kept her hospitalised for years. One day a mysterious guy appears outside the hospital, and Jazz being Jazz, she finds herself fascinated by this guy who seems to have been everywhere around the globe. I stood there, tears brimming the edges of my eyes, while hugging the boy who lived through most of my childhood memories with me. Never as a seven years old would I have pondered the day I had to leave my best friend, not knowing when I would even see him again. We were literally so close together, nobody ever questions our relationship. They would always assume we were siblings or something along that line. I didn't want things to change. Not now. Not today. Chase Greens hugs me tightly, shaking a bit, "Riley, I am going to a miss you." His words makes me sob even more, "I don't want to go, Chase." He doesn't say a word, just holding me closer than before. Words couldn't describe how painful that feeling was. My parents are calling me to go as the time draws near. When he finally lets go, Chase pulls out a white daisy from behind his back and carefully tucks it behind my ear. "I remember we always went out to pick these during the summer." "Riley! We have to leave now!" My dad hollers at the driver seat. The earth shattering feeling comes back. We clung onto each other. "Until next time, Riley," Chase sticks this little pinkie out. My smile falters a bit, "Until next time." That was the last time I had ever seen Chase Greens. As the car pulls out of the driveway, I can see him clinging onto his parent's and hear his sobbing slowly fading away. As years past, the pain slowly vanishes, but it was still there in the pit of my stomach. - Eight years later, fate came and rejoins the two childhood best friends together. Join in the journey of Riley and Chase that will leave you laughter and tears.

Moving half way across the country was what my family needed. It was what i needed. I've done terrible things in the past but nothing like what i did last month. Now I'm a heartless soul with a guilty conscience and i need this. I need to be better. At my new school i've started to hangout with the sweetest guy and his amazing nice friends. This should make me a better person. Right?
