It's another ordinary day in Camelot for Merlin, until suddenly Arthur calls him to his chambers for some unexpected reason. Is Merlin still safe in Camelot, or has his magical secret been discovered?

Magic has been banned from Camelot. And they are also trying to push it from other kingdoms, including Targaryen. But the kingdom of Targaryen specializes in magic, and dragon riding. Until king Uther ordered the Knights of Camelot to kill all the dragons. Both kingdoms are now thirsty to destroy each other, and bring a Great War. But King Uther doesn't want that. So to avoid a terrible war, and to get his rival kingdom to stop using magic, he comes up with an idea. A peace treaty. That involves Arthur and the heir to the throne in Targaryen, princess Freya. An arranged marriage.

What happens when a war breaks out in Camelot and no one knows who their fighting against and Morgana starts to notice that Merlin's and Arthur's relationship could be more than just friends but Merlin has to be careful because he's teaching Morgana magic without anyone knowing and if someone were to find out about his magic or his growing feeling for Arthur, Merlin and the ones he's cares about could be put into serious danger

Cassandra is the second oldest and the Princess of Powys. The kingdom right next to Camelot. She used to be best friends with Arthur Pendragon until he did something that made her hate him and hold a grudge. She's a witch and her and her brother and sisters are forced to take refugee in Camelot after a rebellion in their kingdom. The only problem is that magic isn't allowed in the Camelot so Cassandra has to keep her secret under wraps while trying to fight magic from destroying her new home with some help from another warlock.

I want to make several assumptions or changes before I begin this story: *One is that Uther Pendragon was once friends with Balinor, the Dragonlord. *Another is that Hunith is Gaius's younger sister and that she too once worked in the castle, but as a servant. *A third is that Uther was actually rather found of magic before Igraine's death and the Purge. *The death taken in exchange for another does not have to be instantaneous if the circumstances call for it. In this story Igraine doesn't die. Instead another's life is taken. Merlin's magic is common knowledge and Uther is actually quite fond of him, perhaps a bit overprotective due to circumstances that you will come to learn. I, of course, own nothing of the characters or setting. That belongs to BBC who really should continue the series. The prologue of this story is going to be very brief set up for the series, which will take place when the boys are older. So don't mind it too much if its quick and bit messy. It's only meant to be a background.

Magic has been wiped out, and dragons exterminated.
