So... she leaned to keep silent, until she couldn't any longer. Now for Jace, taking over the pack as alpha should have been a great accomplishment even for a man barely nineteen. Except it wasn't for him. He knew what the price of that power was, the life of both his parents. Jace knew he'd be expected to take over once he felt confident he could so. Even his uncle, four years older than he, also supported the transition as well. What he didn't need was for a little minx to complicate his already stressful life, especially one whom he couldn't seem to pin down.
