Marissa has grown up with 5 brothers her whole life, including bugging the crap out of them. Will she have to choose between the safety of her pack and family and a mate in a heart wrenching decision? She has grown up alongside her pack and her family since before she can remember, being taught that pack and family come first. I don't think they understood what fate had in mind for Marissa. Everyone knows that there are other monsters, and that they should fight against them. Not to come within touching distance of each other.

A satirical man sits alone in an isolated city park, commenting on the festivities of Christmas Eve. I wrote this as an exercise, to practice descriptive imagery. It's not much, but perhaps I will eventually use this as a prologue and elaborate on it, making it into a story. That is, if I find the time and inspiration to do so.
