Coeus, wasn't part of the main cast or anything. More of a spectator, a spectator whose had enough of watching pain evolve into agony. Now, he plans on setting things right, giving the characters closure and direction. -- I will be using the actual scripts(with fleshing out) for the most part, I will add my own spin once and awhile. With Arthur safe back in Camelot after being stabbed my Mordred at Camlann, Merlin rides back out to find Gwaine and Percival and bring them back. Basically Gwaine doesn't die, Merlin arrives just in time to save him using his magic.
