I myself am a tenor saxophone player in my high school's marching band. I have actually used most of these on other people. Some do work better than others, but that might be just because I'm a girl.

High school sophomore Tina has recently become a drum major in the Brookemont High School Marching Band. Her other bandmates include Justin, who has maintained a crush on Tina ever since her freshman year. Little does Tina know, her heart secretly desires Jessica, who she has been best friends with ever since middle school. Orphaned and psychic sisters Loy and Cale move to a new town to start over. Loy hopes she can finally claim independence and find happiness in the new town, while Cale is blissfully unaware of the true reason they left their home. What will it take to stay free from the evil chasing them? Why is it chasing them? Who will come to their aid? This is more about how all the stories intertwine. Cale will have her own book as an OHSHC fanfic, and the romantic aspect of it is there, but it's not the plot. If this awful summary managed to grab your attention, 1. I'm surprised but 2. Lily has no last name she has been thrust into foster homes since her adoptive parents died, nobody knows her birthday, her real last name, who here real parents are and why she never got to meet them. One day Lin finds Lily beaten up on the sidewalk outside the theatre and decides she needs his help. Lily doesn't talk to them or anybody but she doesn't know sign language she just refuses to communicate most the time. Lily is a percussionist but nobody knows that until Lily's school calls Lin about her concert.

The rivalry between band and orchestra cannot be solved by the "symphony orchestra" in high school. Many high schools simply don't have the funding or the dedication of enough students to have one. Never mind the choir; they're barely recognized as musicians, anyway. A first-chair cellist has caught the attention of four band students after an oboist ditches band for the cello. Although they antagonize her ridiculously to try to hide their jealousy, all four are head-over-heels in love with her, one more so than the other three.
