"Hating someone gives nothing, until it teaches why they matter, and why losing them would hurt"
---------- 💫 ----------
SAPPHIRE is stubborn, sharp-tongued, and unapologetically herself. She never tries to please anyone-except her grandmother, the only person whose approval she longs for.
Being the least favorite grandchild, only related by blood through her late grandmother's sister, she grows up feeling watched, judged, and expected to fail. Still, she loves her grandmother like a mother, holding onto that single bond that keeps her standing.
She hates many things-but most of all, she hates Vincent. They walk the same path, studying Law, yet their lives could not be more different. Vincent moves freely, unburdened by expectations, supported by a solid background, while Sapphire carries the weight of constant pressure and silent scrutiny.
Her envy turns into resentment, and her resentment hardens into hate. If no one dares to pressure Vincent, then she will-believing that hating him is the only way to survive her own insecurities.
But Vincent remains untouched by her hostility. Instead of breaking, he stays-calm, steady, and unexpectedly kind, even making space for her happiness when no one else does. As hatred lingers between them, Sapphire slowly realizes that sometimes, hate is not the opposite of care-but proof that someone has reached you deeply.
What begins as resentment leads them to a truth neither expected: that hating someone can reveal their worth, and perhaps even your own Hating Someone Special.
