This is a short Perfect World story inspired by Shi Hao and Huo Ling'er. I honestly love that couple, and I can't find any fanfiction about them here on Wattpad. Unfortunately, even though they're one of the most popular couples in the donghua and the light novel, they have the fewest scenes together. So, to all the fans of the pairing, I hope you enjoy this. It might seem out of place at times, but I did my best.

Salem, a 17 year old girl, lives in a "perfect world," with no chaos or destruction. Everyone follows a specific set of rules to create this world. Those who break any rules face punishments. Some are killed, some are taken away, some are put in confinement. The people who do come back, always come back different, almost like they are being brainwashed. On top of that, all 17 year olds must pass a test in IQ, athleticism, wisdom, and perfection. Those who fail, are taken some place else never to be seen again.

How would you like a world that is created how you would like, just what you want? Everything would be perfect and all to your liking, wouldn't it. Here is some scenarios to see what world would be your world. Utopias are not always perfect because something would happen and it would eventually be a distopia. Dream a dream, hope it's what you want.

Whether An Ideal World Is As Great As It Seems

Alyssa is a product of the Society; the only city left on what remains of Planet Earth. She has spent the first sixteen years of her life learning, training, and conditioning herself for life inside of a city based on perfection. Only the best stay in, and the rest get out. Her life has been nothing more than a competition to see who will get the coveted spots as a citizen of this perfect world. Failure means expulsion from the city walls, and death in the vast nothingness that makes up the rest of the planet. With citizenship finally within her grasp, Alyssa finds herself ensnared within the scheme of a rebel resistance, learning and seeing things that she was never supposed to know. Threatened with expulsion, she'll do anything to have the slate wiped clean, so the Society offers her a single chance at redemption. Now, she must find the rebels, the few survivors that managed to make a life outside of the Society, and bring them back for rehabilitation before they can start a revolution. But the resistance is nothing like she could have ever expected; and piece by piece, the world begins to come crumbling down. How far would you go for perfection?

This is not another Fan-Fiction. This is not another Teen Love Story. This is merely a book about a girl who is trying to fit into this "perfect world". Throughout this book you will see the struggle of an average African American girl, who is trying to fit in. This book may be from my point of view, and my experience, but its all about what you intake from it. Perhaps by the end of the book, said girl will find an important life lesson, that she should've listened to all along. Enter at your own risk.

The world has segregated to two prominent classes: Names and Numbers. The lines are clear, and there is no ladder to climb. The life you're born into is set in stone. Poverty has been eradicated and Society is a well-oiled machine that asks for only one thing in return: surrender to the System. When a pair of lovers decide that they will not be tied down by the rules of Society, they need to fight the System to stay together.

Everyday you wake up. Same as yesterday. Filling your brain up with the same useless knowledge day after day. But what if your mind had a recycling bin. A place to store all those embarrassing moments where you would never have to feel anxious about them ever again. What would happen? What would society be like? What would humanity become?
