I always had that dark feeling I would be stuck here forever. Now I'm just starting to face reality-they aren't coming for me. Im stuck on this miserable planet where just about everyone wants me gone. Though, a human has shown me the kindness no one has ever treated me with. Somehow I find myself smiling like an idiot when she talks. On those cold nights with starry skies she would take me out an comfort me about the reality of my situation. I never thought I would be...falling for her.

Steven was born a Crystal Gem, he always had been. But after a painful future seen by Garnet, they have the diamond removed from Stevens belly button, and it was later found by a home world gem, who took it back with them. Now Steven lives with the Gems, though his life has always felt empty and him being constantly sick and weak the majority of his life.
