Lapis just wanted a quiet semester. New campus. New dorm. No drama. Unfortunately, her roommate is Peridot-an intense engineering student who talks too fast, studies too hard, and somehow manages to drag Lapis into robotics competitions, beach trips, and a chaotic friend group that includes Steven, Amethyst, Pearl, and Garnet. What starts as reluctant tolerance slowly becomes something deeper. But when Jasper-Lapis's complicated and painful ex-shows up at the same university, the past comes crashing back. Old emotions ignite, tensions rise across campus, and one explosive confrontation forces everyone to face the truth about who they used to be-and who they're trying to become. Between ocean sunsets, late-night study sessions, and one very nervous confession on the beach, Lapis and Peridot discover that sometimes the most unexpected connections are the ones that change everything.

While the Gems go out to save the world some more, they must leave Lapis behind, which means Peridot is left on "Gem business", taking care of her. (This is set after the first episode of the In Too Deep arc, "Super Watermelon Island / Gem Drill", and therefore may not line up with future episodes.)

This is my very first lapidot fan fic, i hope you enjoy Lapis is a very perky girl whos friends are Amethyst, Pearl, Sapphire, Ruby, and Garnet. shes coming back middle school for her 2nd year of high school. Peridot is a girl who mostly keeps to herself, she is transferred from her previous school homeworld high to beach high. She is a very smart person and she has been mostly bullied her whole life, she is not excited to find new bullies but is glad to get away from the ones at her old school.
