The Battle of Germantown, on October 4th, 1777, was a devastating defeat for the Continental Army. But some heroics of the battle were not recorded publicly, lost in the whirlwinds of war and the chaos of a miserable campaign. While most of the army retreated from fog and artillery, two men ran boldly into it, risking everything to continue the battle.

This is following up, "A Snake Pit of 30-06 Springfield" set two years later. Scolex Enterprises needs money to further work on it's headquarters inside Mt. Everfrost. To get that money? Do one heck of a heist. But when things take an unexpected turn for the Scolex agent Sadie. She crosses paths with ACME. Meanwhile ACME has what looks to be a grim mystery on it's hands.

Set years after the events of Smoke, Steam and Mirrors, in 1943. The ACME Detective Agency is well established but not yet as a proper business. That fact gains the military's attention in wanting to hire the agency to a case. Meanwhile at a different detective agency, a pair of investigators refuse to give up on a missing persons case believing it's reason for being isn't dead.

Set after Vocal Canvases. The ACME Detective Agency has based now in San Francisco for quite a while. In the process of things changing for the agency, a death without warning stirs up business and personal lives. Two children are thrown into a new circumstance with their lives and part of that has them becoming ACME's newest detectives. Carmen Sandiego should better watch out.
