Cherry goes with her friend Lauren and her family to move into Friendship, Maine, but their place is ridden with three rotten ghosts, including a friendly one, while Lauren's dad is trying to contact with his late wife Amelia and Lauren's younger sister is struggling with fitting into another new school.

This story starts in Japan, and ends up going through big trouble in Nekrom, China, with a new group of allies featuring Atticus, Cherry, Lionel, Mo, and Patch as they meet the one known as Ranma, but not only them, but also characters from a TV series that has been off the air for 10 years which may or may not be anime. Drell takes Cherry, Atticus, Mo, Patch, and Sabrina to meet his old friend Jerry Russo with his wife Theresa and three kids: Justin, Alex, and Max. The Russo family then take their new guests on vacation with them and Alex makes a very regretful wish and must set things right and they even need the help of their old friend, Robyn Starling, who is half-wizard.

Atticus deals with the unexpected return of Nuclear Man from his quest for peace with Superman who wants to learn how to be a good guy and maybe even a superhero. Atticus takes up the offer as the two become friends. Meanwhile, Cherry has to deal with the school play with a villain of her own who returns from the past.

After getting sucked into a new book, Cherry and her friends end up in a brand new adventure which takes them into a forest to meet a shy, though kind widowed mouse by the name of Mrs. Brisby who needs to help cure her son who is deathly sick from illness, but even more adventures come to them while spending time with the poor mouse family who worry of Moving Day.

After the night Arnold discovers his long-lost father's journal, he receives a visit from his cousin Dawn. At the same time, he is to write an essay for a school contest that will take him to San Lorenzo where his parents were last seen. Will he be able to find his parents and reunite their family at last with Dawn's help?
