A story that was started as part of a RPG play through i decided to write about it.

My father's been kidnapped. The kidnappers demand an impossible ransom. If they don't get it in two weeks, they will kill my father. Mama won't survive his murder. She's already fallen unconscious. So I've pulled my assassin grandmother out of retirement. Together, with my dragon, we're going to find the kidnappers and rescue my father. And we're going to make those bastards pay. Set in an alternate medieval Italy with dragons and magic, ASSASSIN'S BLADE is for fans of the Venatrix Chronicles by Sylvia Mercedes, or the dragon books of Ursula K. Le Guin and Anne McCaffery. Tara is bored. Bored with every aspect of her routinely boring life. Same thing everyday: wake up, eat breakfast, draw, Internet, more boring activities until it was time to go back to bed. This was her routine for the summer, the only exception being Sundays when she was required to go to church. Her father being the pastor, she was there routinely every week at least once a week. The boring routine and boring lifestyle seemed infinite to her until one fateful day, one fateful Sunday. God had a plan for her, a plan involving the fate of the world, a fate involving a dragon. The Hybrids had planned the encounter with the egg for thousands of years, they had planned their revenge on the world for mistreating them. They had cast the curse. Until he meets apprentice healer, Kirsa, after a terrible Threadscore. She turns his world upside down in the best way--she's lovely, kind, and ambitious. But she's also secretive and, despite her obvious attraction to J'nis, keeps him at arm's length. Her past and present are set to collide when J'nis finds someone is stalking Kirsa but she refuses to let him help her. Her worst fears are about to be realized. Will J'nis be able to shield her or her fears cause her to fall before he can do anything to prevent it?

This story is set during the Sixth Pass (AL 1508-1558) and is intended to parallel Moreta: Dragonlady of Pern from the perspective of "background" Gather guests. A young girl and her parents attend Lord Alessan's first Gather at Ruatha and are thus witness to some of the events which follow, both good and ill. How will the little family fare?

[Complete] Missa, rider to green dragon, Apeth, was Searched as a teen to become the first disabled person to Impress a dragon. She loves being a dragonrider but chafes at the restrictions put on her by weyrleader, K'van. She's accepted her unique contributions to the weyr but never thought she'd find love. A chance encounter with a young journeyman smith and Missa discovers a part of herself she never knew existed and never thought she'd have. But distance and her insecurities may come between the lovers. Can Missa find it in herself to overcome jealousy, accept her body as it is and take the love freely offered before she destroys it all?
