Persephone used to be known as Kore, the god of spring, agriculture and vegetation. Then Kore was kidnapped by Hades. Hades helped Kore come to son much needed revelations about himself including the fact that he wasn't a he at all. He was a she. Kore transitioned into Persephone and became the wife of Hades, the queen of the underworld. The first few years of her marriage was wonderful then came the numerous affairs. Persephone couldn't take it so she tried to divorce Hades but when she tried, Hades punished her by stripping her of her godhood and making her a grim reaper. He banished her to earth to reap souls till she "learned her lesson". Persephone stumbled upon a quaint town where she settled. Though a circus ended up coming to that town. Involves a super hot Hades Persephone's mother has always distanced her daughter from society, claiming it was filled with vice and would corrupt her purity. Eventually Persephone finds the courage to run from her mother's hold and explore the world for one night, but what she thought was only a bold foray into the unknown, is actually a leap into a new world of adventure, and love.

One day Hades, the God of the Underworld, happened to glance up at the world above and noticed Persephone playing with a group of nymphs in her fields. Hades was a just god, but he grew lonely and cold as he carried out his duties over the centuries. But as he observed Persephone, he was struck immediately by her beauty and her tenderness towards the nymphs. He ended up going back to watch her every so often, feeling his old heart soften each time.

This is a story that follows the daughter of Hades and Persephone. Astrid or Ash as she prefers, is booted to the isle where she lives with her father and meets the daughter of the most feared villain on the isle. Ash notices right away the many similarities between the two girls but ignores it because it just happens sometimes... Right?
