This poem is about how society portrays "Beauty" and how the media media and even some celebrates have high standards when it comes to having a certain look or size how perfection is the way to live, how the only way you will be accepted in society is by achieving these standards . I personally think that is all bull that everyone is beautiful/handsome in their own way! I struggle sometimes with this I am caution with my weight and have low self-esteem however i am learning how to love myself and not care what people have to say or what they think! P.s This poem is also inspired/a tribute to the Beyonce song "Pretty Hurts" Just know that you are amazing just the way you are and do not let anyone tell you otherwise! What happens when you're haunted by memories that don't even belong to you? "Quiet War" is a poetic reflection on inherited pain, unseen battles, and the quiet strength it takes to keep going, even when the war was never yours.

Please don't... I don't deserve what I have. I'm dark inside and my demons will never stop bothering me. I appriciate all that you do for me, but I don't deserve any of it. Don't try to help me, I don't want to be helped. To whoever who bothers to read this, please note that this is not directed towards anyone in paticular.
