Head barman of their local pub, Blake Windsor sees things and hears things when he's behind the bar, privy to all manner of angst and family drama he usually ignores it, it's not his business. When Connors homophobic girlfriend turns against him, he can't help but take the time to console the younger man who sits at his bar with a bruised face. Only really knowing the man through his friendship with his dads, Connor finally "looks" at Blake for the very first time, there's definitely something about him that lights a spark. Blake is not only older though, he has baggage, LOTS of it. Beaten and forced to leave home at 17, homelessness, abuse, a failed Vegas marriage and failed relationships, all lead to deep seated self hatred, hidden beneath his wonky smile and his brilliant blue eyes. Can Connor find his true self with help from Steve and Nick?, and from Blake?. Bullying and abuse by his exes brother, and a random accident that puts Blake in hospital, put a huge strain on their relationship. Blakes estranged sister finds him by a quirk of fate, after 15 years, with the news of their abusive fathers death and Blake is forced to confront and relive his past. Why is love such hard work?.
