It's for everyone. Both those that have already tried recovery and those who are still fighting. I'm here to support. All of you, all of us. Because we all matter. I'm not a professional. Not a psychologist, psychiatrist. Just an ed survivor, writing from lived experience. Skip if you find these triggering - I completely understand. I believe that we all deserve support, and much better than the world that portrays serious diseases as "success stories" or "becoming healthier, prettier." We can do better. In short, this is a series about eating disorders and everything related to them: relapses, beginnings, the process, healing, society's influence, and recovery. I write about things that affect me as a person who has, and still is struggling with this little trap in her mind that says to give up. And that's why I'm creating this. We need something else besides the constant skinny obsession, don't we? Even if you decide not to read any of the chapters - I get it. If you don't agree with my point of view that I share in this project, that's alright. I'm not trying to convince anyone to my mind. I'm trying to let people with invisible, underrated struggles be heard, seen. And you're valid. You're enough. There're more of us. We are no longer silent. We're here for ourselves - that's already a big step toward healing. I'm not going to tell you that recovery is the same for everyone. I'm not going to tell you that people won't comment on your appearance. I'm not going to tell you that you'll always love yourself after recovery. But I am going to, at least try, to convince you that being alive is worth more than looking a certain way. You think feeling your bones is hot? You know what's more? BEING ALIVE. Healing is a process. And it's hard. But as long as you are alive, you always have a chance. I'm not one of the perfectly recovered ones. I see this trap. I've lived in it. I still do. But I'm not afraid of speaking about it - until someone finally hears me.

This is not your typical Wattpad story. There is no romance, no perfect main character, and no dramatic love story. This is about a girl who grew up hearing hurtful words about her appearance. What others saw as jokes became memories she carried for years. She learned to ignore them, but never truly forgot them. Years later, those memories still come back and sometimes make her cry. This story shows how powerful words can be, especially when spoken to a child. It also shows how silence can hurt when someone needs to be defended. So before saying, "Maybe the truth hurts," think about whether your words are really the truth or simply meant to hurt. Because sometimes, what you call a joke can become someone else's lifelong memory.

THINGS I WISH I KNEW AT 23 What if the life you planned was never the life Allah intended for you? At twenty-three, I thought I had life figured out. I had dreams. I had plans. I had people I trusted. I believed I knew where my life was heading. Then life happened. I left Abuja for Kano with a heart full of dreams, only to discover that growing up meant facing things no one had prepared me for. I failed seven subjects. I went to bed hungry and smiled the next morning like everything was fine. I was accused of stealing something I never stole. I lost friendships I thought would last forever. I battled an illness that changed the way I understood something as simple as breathing. I fell in love. I was betrayed. I healed. Then I opened my heart again, believing perhaps this time would be different-only to watch another future I had carefully imagined fall apart. But somewhere between the heartbreaks, the silent struggles, the prayers, the tears, and the unexpected turns, I began to find myself. I discovered my voice. I discovered my creativity. And most importantly, I discovered that sometimes Allah allows certain chapters to end because He is preparing us for a story we cannot yet see. This isn't a story about having life figured out at 23. It's about being lost and finding your way. About loving and losing. About friendship, betrayal, failure, faith, healing, purpose, and becoming. If you've ever felt behind in life, misunderstood, heartbroken, forgotten, or unsure of what comes next... Maybe you'll find a piece of yourself in these pages. This is my story. These are the things I wish I knew at 23. And maybe, they're the things you need to know too. This version is designed to hook Wattpad readers immediately while still keeping the heart of your memoir. I'd use this as your main story description.

thought Gianfranco was just the weird, incredibly smart guy from the robotics classroom-the guy who somehow ended up going to Yale and becoming my friend. Then I told him about something I should have kept private. What started as a simple conversation turned into an obsession. He wanted to understand me, find my writing, and uncover parts of my life I never intended for him to see. I told him to stop. He didn't. And suddenly, the boy I thought I knew became someone I wasn't sure I could trust.

This book is poetry about the moments before everything falls apart. The thoughts that keep you awake at night. The love that hurts more than it heals. The way your mind can become both your safest place and your greatest enemy. Told through deeply personal poems, 'Before the Breaking' follows the quiet unraveling of a girl learning how to survive the weight of her own thoughts. Her story is personal, but echos the feelings of many. Because somewhere between the cracks, the hurt, and the healing, we all learn what it means to keep going. Author: Lexie Kathleen
