Sarah was sitting by the window in her room one night with the light on reading her book. Everyone else was watching television in the other room with the sound up high. Sarah opens the window and breathes in the night air, she sees something outside, a shadow? She leans out the window to get a better look. She sees two glowing eyes in the darkness and backs up slightly away from the window. The eyes start to move closer towards her window and she sees that the body is nothing but shadow. She gasps softly, then looks at her door to see if anyone heard her, but no one came in. The shadow extended a hand to her, staring at her with its glowing eyes, not blinking. She looks again at her bedroom door, thinking, "should I?", then looks back to the shadow's hand. Should Sarah go with the shadow? Will one of her siblings or her parents come into her room before she can decide? Read the book to find out.... : - )
