With a brilliant mind passed down from her deceased mother, life tends to drag between her physics and biology classes at Midtown School of Science and Technology. The only real things that keep her interest peaked are her friends Harry and Lottie, that cute Peter Parker boy in her class that she adores making blush, and a secret that no one outside her family knows. Sophia can heal anything. Broken bone? Not an issue. Deep scratch? Piece of cake. But her strange gift is kept under lock and key by her father, the chief of police. Though she knows why. If anyone found out about her power, it would attract those that would only abuse it. But nothing is kept hidden forever. Especially on the night that Sophia runs into one Spider-Man. After a huge display of courage, she can't find it in her heart not to help the wall-crawler. So now one other person knows, but soon there's more. And a trickle of deceit and danger begins plaguing Sophia's life. But maybe Peter Parker can help her to piece it back together.

Something about him can't help but draw her closer. Maybe it's the way he always finds some sort of strange excuse to ditch school or how he always knows just the right thing to say to make her heart flutter. But as is the life of a hero, when one enemy falls, a new one arises. And for some reason, she feels an inner longing to help take him down. But throwing herself into danger might just finally keep her in the dark. Permanently.

Peter murmured, watching the raven-haired girl groan in frustration as she tugged at the ends of her straight hair. "I never asked for this responsibility! I was never given a choice! Shouldn't I be able to choose?" Willow broke, her face heating up as she looked up at the boy, his brown eyes quickly filling with worry. "I wasn't given a choice either, but now I am. I can either do good or be a criminal. You at least have that choice." Peter stood up, rolling up the sleeves to his Mid-Town High sweater, turning to look back at his best friend, her lip between her teeth as she thought. "Whats it going to be?"

This puts the reader right next to the avengers in day-by-day situations. After a mission to save Bucky, you and peters relationship is come to question. *sequel to 'Just Out of Reach'* 'how to deal with your boyfriend's girlfriend returning from the dead' was not in any girlfriend handbook y/n was ever able to find, nor was 'how to date an avenger with anger issues.' y/n always has a weird itch in the back of her neck when it comes to cindy, mj takes on a new apprentice, lazlo apparently is seeing a masked vigilante in secret and it's probably the most stable relationship of this entire series, étienne teaches little kids swear words in french, some old friends decide to pop back in for a fun surprise, and in the end peter just decides to commit a touch of treason. basically, just your average senior year of college.
