Pete collapses after a show, and Roger has to carry him off the stage. They share a moment once Pete comes to. From Richard Parmelee: "New Haven, Connecticut. December 15th, 1979. After the deaths of 11 Who fans in Cincinnati on December 3rd, Providence, Rhode Island wanted no part of The Who. Show cancelled. There was an edginess in New Haven. You could feel it in the air. Townshend came on stage drunk with a half bottle of cognac. He finished that bottle and then he finished another full bottle during the show. His vertical leap wasn't affected, he played well & would sing his backing vocals at the wrong times during several songs. Rip, roaring drunk. Everyone could tell he was in terrible emotional pain. I was close to the stage. Shooting pictures which I scanned this morning. Townshend just made it through the set. Then he passed out on stage. Roger carried him from the stage."

Pete Townshend was just an ordinary rockstar living the famous life in the year 1969. One night, The Who had a huge Christmas party. Pete got drunk and got in a fight with a wizard, a Pinball Wizard. He wakes up the next morning and discovers he has been turned into an egg, thanks to the Pinball Wizard! Now Pete must go on a journey to find the Pinball Wizard and get his life back. Will Pete get his life back and continue rocking with The Who or will he be an egg forever? Who will he meet on the way? Will he make it alive or become breakfast? É o início dos anos 60, na Inglaterra. Maria Giulia, uma garota de 15 anos, ajuda seu melhor amigo, que também é seu vizinho, Pete Townshend, a conseguir realizar seu sonho de poder tocar em uma banda famosa. O que era apenas uma amizade pode ir se tornando em algo mais forte. E o que era apenas um sonho de um garoto de 15 anos (Pete) pode vir a se tornar o The Who, uma das maiores bandas inglesas do final dos anos 60. Dedico essa fanfic a todos os rockeiros deste site.
