Pete and Mikey were supposed to be together forever. At least, that's what everyone said. Mikey Way was the calm before Pete's storm. Pete Wentz put the fun in Mikey's life. When one tragic accident occurs, and their lives are flipped upside down, will Mikey be able to take it?

Mikey Way loved summer. It was like he didn't have to worry about anything just because nature was so beautiful. He didn't seem like a guy who would do the things he did, but Mikey didn't mind. Sometimes he just wandered around the town and listened closely to every sound that nature made. It was like music to him. A harmony that only the people who listened could hear. And Mikey wished others would listen. Listen to what nature had to say. Because it had a lot to say, but no one listened. No one but him. Only, no one listened to him either. They pretended to, but they didn't. Except Pete. But Mikey didn't know that. Pete Wentz loved summer. He loved it because it was that time of the year where he could do whatever he wanted because his parents were gone and he didn't have any responsibility. No one would tell him what to do or not to do. No one could stop him. But Pete was lonely. He often wandered around the town with headphones in, blocking every sound, the ones from outside his head and the bad thoughts inside of it. He wanted to tell someone, to scream it out at the top of his lungs. But no one cared. They pretended to, but they didn't. Except Mikey. But Pete didn't know that.

Ever since preschool, Pete and Mikey were worst enemies. It started off as kicking down block towers and scribbling over drawings to full on rivalry - throwing punches and yelling insults. Gerard was eager to change this, and made friends with Pete's friendship group. As the two groups hung out every lunch, Pete and Mikey reckoned they were living in hell. But as a school project involved the two getting more time together, their opinions may change. Brendon was never the most thoughtful person. He was not particularly liked amongst the student body, he was known for ruining relationships and spreading nasty secrets. But he never really felt empathetic to these hurt people, not until he had managed to ruin his own relationship. As Brendon realised his life isn't quite complete without Ryan, he knew he needed to get him back. And try to be less self-centred.

Mikey meets a new boy at school and he slowly goes from hating him to falling in love with him. But relationships with boys who are older then you and who have gone out with loads of people is supposed to be easy right. Think again.
