But in the way of catching him a mass genocide took place and with somehow the help of the thief they catch the murderer and the thief can finally confess his feelings for Shuichi and the reason why he only let Shuichi get near him and not Kiyoko.

A new, but more critical, look at the concept of Phantom Theives. New characters, new plot, and new location (New York City). A complete recontextualisation of the original game. The story is written in a log based style and follows Ángel Pomar and his escapades as a phantom theif. He wants to rid the world of evil by making therapy and mental health care commonplace so that deviant behavior is reduced. That's his dream, anyway. With the help of his fellow theives and the Velvet Room residents, he wants to see life change.
