*Phantom thief AU* Can you imagine falling in love with a criminal? Well, that's exactly what happened to a young detective called Shuichi Saihara. When he gets presented with a case following someone by the codename of 'The Phantom Thief' he gets himself entangled within the criminals heart.

After laying low for a month, Mysterion is finally spotted in Paris when he sends out a calling card for a peculiar statue. Despite his stay-at-home attitude Kyle sets out to hunt down the thief on international waters. But how is this connected to the legendary thief, Lady Possum and why is Mysterion in France of all places?

When Hakuba's father dies under suspicious circumstances after the police investigation of a crime organization, Sagaru discovers his father was secretly Kaitou Kid. Unable to understand why a member of the police department would also be a thief, Hakuba takes up his father's mantle and becomes the new Kaitou Kid. Written as part of the Poirot Cafe's 15th theme contest for Detective Conan/Magic Kaito fanfic. The theme was AU, and I used the optional prompt of role swap. This is a stand alone short story.
