Shadow's are the inner darkness that one's who surpress their true dark hearts filled with desire, and if the shadow is powerful enough they form their own Palace's. It is the Tricker's job to steal the hearts of these shadow's, and the Tricker's party to follow and steal these hearts, to complete the Trickster's Rehabilitation and create a new world free from deceit and desire. So, will you help the Trickster seek the freedom this world craves? Or fall back into the seals of your metal heart?

In the middle of their latest heist, the Phantom Thieves of Hearts' leader, Ryuji Sakamoto, gets captured after an ambush. After enduring hours of painful interrogation, he is subjected to detailing all of the previous heists him and his teammates performed to prosecutor Sae Niijima. Will Ryuji be able to find a way out of this, or will his teammates suffer the same potential fate as their leader?
