In her story, there was no villain. No one to point at and say, this is the bad person. Because in real life, most situations are not that simple. Sometimes, there is no one to blame. Not the people. Not yourself. Not even fate. There are moments when things just happen. You don't know who is wrong. You don't know who is right. You don't even know what "wrong" means anymore. Some days, you blame yourself. Some days, you blame life. Some days, you blame the silence, the timing, the universe, the air around you. And some days, you realise there is nothing to blame at all. This is just how life is. You don't fight it. You don't escape it. You simply learn how to live with it.

𝓛𝐈 𝓛𝐈 𝓜𝐄𝐈 and 𝓢𝐔𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐎 𝓑𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐀 were different sides of the same dangerous, but a very beautiful flower; while both seemingly pure and calm on the outside, they both couldn't escape from this bitter, grotesque poison, hidden deep inside their dim, seemingly innocent souls. ˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀ 𓏵 𝓛𝒊 𝓜𝒆𝒊 was as pure and peaceful as lily; drinking a bittersweet tea from a vintage, slightly cracked teacup and holding an ephemeral, hazy smile on her lips. While being covered in the ugly rot of her past mistakes, she sells medicines to stop others from rotting; believing that 𝘢𝘭𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 every human is fixable. ⊹ ࣪ ˖ Excluding the one who wanted to find cracks in the light reflected in her hazy dark eyes, or seeds of elysian flowers planted deep inside her heart... little too much. 𓏵 𝓑𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂 was as toxic and griefful as lily also; acting with a sharp knife like a doctor with their god tools. With these charming, but harmful eyes, and hands who held more types of blood, than people in a different type of embrace than a deathly one. He didn't save people from anything else but life itself, believing that no one truly deserves it. ⊹ ࣪ ˖ Especially one specifically eerie person with flowers in their hair, who couldn't help but keep trying to fix his unfixable heart, even with a sharp, firm knife against their throat, delicate like petals of a flower. ⊹ ࣪ ˖ They end up in Borderlands while being in cruelly other situations-Li Mei during a peaceful walk, and Banda during a walk too; but towards a death sentence. Her path filled with flowers, his path filled with a poison of the same plants. ⊹ ࣪ ˖ If the flower glanced at the knife, the knife would look away. But if the knife glared at the flower, the knife would already be poisoned. Because of the flower.

Dean McAllister is a master of charm, using his job at an old Bed-Stuy pharmacy to run a profitable side business. He lives by a motto of self- preservation, but when a woman named Millie Howard walks in, to pick up an expensive prescription Dean sees more than a target-he sees a chance to solve all his problems . Millie, a sheltered Music History student from Brooklyn Heights, is desperate for a real love story her dying mother can witness before it's too late. When fate seems to throw the charismatic, well-dressed Dean into her life-at a subway stop, then a vintage record store-it feels like a sign. He stages the coincidences. She falls for the performance. As Dean is pulled deeper into Millie's quiet, elegant world, the line between the calculated lie and genuine affection begins to blur. For the first time, he sees a path to redemption, a future where he can finally be the good man she believes him to be. But as his dangerous past catches up, the truth is exposed, shattering Millie's entire reality. Now, with everything he loves on the line, Dean must make one last choice: save himself, or make the ultimate sacrifice to prove that while the relationship started with a lie, the love was terrifyingly, irrevocably real. Some pills are too hard to swallow, and some prescriptions simply cannot be renewed.
