My head was now spinning both from the alcohol in my system and the sudden tension in the air. "I don't know"- he whispered so quietly I could barely hear him. His hand carefully reached my face, as his fingertips grabbed my chin and a spark ignited in me. His thumb gently stroked my moist bottom lip, his green eyes locked on it as if he was framing it in his brain forever. He sighed and withdrew his hand, the absence of his touch creating a pit in my stomach. He smiled at me, but it was a gloomy smile. He turned his back to me and walked away.
