On a certain day of the year every teen who has recently turned sixteen is required to get a unique tattoo imprinted on their wrist. Whoever has the same symbol as you on their wrist is your soulmate. Dan Howell and Phil Lester, the most opposite people imaginable end up with the same symbol. But the real question is, is their love a mistake? Just an error in the strictly heterosexual matching system?

He sees people and emotions in colours, and one day when he finally decides to leave a note for the boy he admires he hopes that he will see him in colour as well. Dan has spent his entire life writing poems and when he finally found out that nobody really cared what he was writing about he went mute. Phil is a kid with a bit of a learning problem but a passion for art. When he finally picks up the letters Dan has been leaving behind for him will he be too far behind, or will he catch up to fate.

Why hello there. This got off to a bad start. That sounded sexual. Hi! I'm Ari, and I love and ship phan. I am crap at writing but I do it anyway. It usually takes me about 2-4 days to write a fic, and I'll probably be posting a new one every week or so (lies) Oh yeah, these are going to be phanfics. Duh. They are all going to be fluff, and some angst. Definitely no smut. I tried to write it, but I felt really embarrassed and quit. I've only ever written them flirting or meeting, no kissing, but I'm slowly working my way up to that. Sorry to disappoint you if my fics suck, I try.
