Quick Synopsis
In a quiet Philippine barangay surrounded by rivers, mountains, and ancient balete trees, a young boy named Nonoy grows up believing he simply has many friends.
The only problem is that most of them cannot be seen.
Since birth, strange signs have followed him. Butterflies guarded his mother during childbirth. A giant owl watched over their home during the night he was born. Animals seemed unusually drawn to him, and unseen companions often played beside him when no one else was around.
As Nonoy grows older, he discovers a truth hidden from humanity since the dawn of creation: the world is filled with unseen kingdoms and forgotten races living alongside mankind. Beneath every punso lies magnificent cities of dwende. Deep within rivers dwell ancient waterfolk. Fairies maintain hidden kingdoms among enchanted forests, while mysterious guardians preserve a fragile boundary known as the Veil-the barrier separating the human world from the unseen.
But Nonoy is no ordinary child.
He is a Walker Between Worlds, a rare soul capable of seeing through the Veil and perhaps one day opening it completely.
His gift attracts both allies and enemies.
Ancient guardians, fairy queens, river kings, dwarven craftsmen, and hidden creatures believe he may fulfill an ancient purpose. Meanwhile, the Fallen-an alliance of powerful vampires, aswang, demons, and dark entities driven by centuries of resentment-seek to use him to tear down the Veil and unleash the hidden world upon humanity.
As darkness spreads through his town, people disappear, ancient evils awaken, and old prophecies begin to stir. Guided by a mysterious black guardian, protected by an archangel disguised as a giant owl, and aided by friends from both worlds, Nonoy must uncover the secrets of his true identity.
For buried deep within his dreams lies a forgotten past, a name older than Nonoy itself, and a destiny connected to the very first days of creation.
