A poem I wrote based off of "The Golden Compass", a novel by Philip Pullman

Fanfiction story focusing on the relationship between the two characters Serafina Pekkala and Farder Coram from Philip Pullman's Northern Lights.

SOILERS FOR HIS DARK MATERIALS BOOKS BY PHILIP PULLMAN. Set in a alternate version of what happened after the Amber Spyglass, Lyra and Will did get to remain together, Will stays in Lyra's world and together they become explorers. However, when Lyra and Pan get separated from Will and Kirjava and the group of researchers they're traveling with in the North, Lyra and Pan find themselves lost in a storm and both end up unconscious in the snow. Will and Kirjava set out and find them, but after being out for hours in the cold and unconscious, it is deeply worrying when the man and his Daemon find them. The amazing books in the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman have made quite the impression on me so when I finished the books, I just couldn't accept that they were over so I decided to take matters into my own hands and continue the breathtaking story of Lyra and Will. The story is set several years after Lyra and Will have been seperated. When something truly terrible happens to Lyra, she has no choice but to master the art of travelling between worlds and make her way back to her lost love for he is the only one who can help her. But many things have changed as the years have flown by and Will has tried to moved on with his life. When Lyra suddenly reappears, it starts a chaos of heartbreak and terror involving the turning of someone in Will's new life who was as pure and bright as they come into something unimaginably dark and ruined. What happens when Lyra finds herself trying to fix everything with the help of not Will but a whole new stranger. Will Lyra and Will find their way back to each other once again and will they mend the harm that their love has done to the people they care about?

*this story contains spoilers from the book The Amber Spyglass* Asriel get news that Marisa kidnapped Lyra, drugged her and kept her hidden in the cave. Asriel comes and takes his daughter to safety.

What if at Mrs.Coulter's Cocktail party one of the guests let's slip who Lyra really is to Mrs.Coulter when speaking to Lyra, what if Adele did not get inside the party to begin with. How would Lyra and Mrs.Coulter's relationship and story play out after such a secret is exposed at that point in time? Based on the novels and BBC/HBO show 'His Dark Materials'.

Rodger, a small skinny boy of 12 years from the great Jordan College of Oxford, longs to be more than the little kitchen boy he is known as. In a close friendship with Lyra Belacqua, an unparented girl who lives amongst the scholars, he spends his time exploring every turret and tower of the famous college, not without a scolding or two from Mrs Lonsdale the housekeeper. As they reach adolescence, tensions form as Rodger cannot ignore his jealousy over how naïve and oblivious Lyra gets everything handed to her on a plate through life. While she is happy playing in Oxford forever as it appears to Rodger, he is the one that desires to learn as she does and escape his normal yet monotonous lifestyle. However, everything changes when the word of a mysterious group called the Gobblers spreads around town, and Rodger regrets his previous wishes when he quickly gets swept up in the drama. Marisa Coulter was a growing influential figure within the magisterium still building up her reputation back up from ruin. She get's an unexpected surprise. When a familiar five-year-old little girl appears at her flat in London, with only a rucksack and a letter. After five years since she had seen her last, things get chaotic as she is now stuck having to watch and take care of her five-year-old daughter suddenly for two months. Marisa needs to figure things out and face her past, as she gets to know the daughter she left behind. Experiencing what she never thought she would, being a mother.
