Skye is a ten year old girl that has spent her whole life in the care system, she finds it difficult to trust after more then her fair share of bad homes, she had tried to run away from the orphanage a few too many times too so she is placed in the care of Melinda May-Coulson and Phillip Coulson. They are both experienced carers as they already have two girls Jemma Simmons-Coulson and Natasha Romanoff-Coulson, both kids are from the foster system too. Will Skye ever get a happy family?

This book regards the movie of Avengers. The plot and most of the characters (including Phillip Coulson) belong to Stan Lee and the creators of the movie. However, the character of Greer Coulson belong to both my sister (Agent X-23) and I. You do not have to see the movie in order to read this book. However, I do have a prequel to this book called "Saving Greer," which is a basic origin story if you would like to go read it in order to become more connected to her character. -------- "You were made to be ruled. In the end, you will always kneel." --------- Greer Coulson doesn't play well with others, which is why she didn't qualify for the Avengers Initiative, an idea formed by Nicholas Fury. But when an ancient relic once protected in SHIELD custody is stolen, that all changes. The problem? The man who stole this is much more powerful than anything earth has encountered. More powerful than Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, or even Greer herself. And he doesn't play by the rules. And when war is thrust upon the woman, she is forced to cope with that of which she most dreads: death.
