Jackie, a 17 year old girl from Southwest Philadelphia. Jackie lives with her mom. Her older sister, who's 21, and older brother, 25, all live on their own. Jackie sister, Raven, attends Hampton university. She doesn't really keep in touch with the family. Jamel, Jackie brother, he's given his life to the streets. A well known and respected drug dealer on the streets. He has a condo near downtown. Jackie is pretty close to him. This story is from Jackie side. Her mom is on the urge of wanting to kick her out, her school is saying she doesn't have enough credits for graduation and the boy she really wants keeps playing games. Stay tune on how Jackie handles or doesn't handle the situation.

At the beginning of the year in English, we were given a picture, 'Nighthawks' by Edward Hopper. This is my short story based around the painting, along with the backstories of two people from the painting... I titled this 'Lost & Found' for the final... but I just like Nighthawks, really.

Kassie lives in a neighborhood that is considered "ghetto" but is where she had to grow up after deciding to move away from home. Sariah is used to dealing with boys and wannabe gangsta's but it is different in America which is something Kassie has learned. They are both naturally beautiful so they get a lot of unwanted attention from the wrong kind of guys. Past relationships and losses means that Sariah is determined to start again.
