PHANTASM SERIES BOOK FIVE ---- Tryst (noun): a private romantic rendezvous between lovers, "a moonlight tryst". ---- Your eyes drifted upwards catching onto the glint of the sword that had saved you and following the curve of the blade upwards until you came to a knarled hand, with dirt under the fingernails. You followed the arm upwards until you reached his face - partly obscured underneath a green and white striped hat. You were able to catch onto blue eyes and the scruff of a beard underneath a mop of blonde hair though. What drew your attention most though, was the crow's wings behind him, flared out and glinting by the light of the sword. You hadn't even heard him swoop down for the approach. For someone who hadn't been seen in over a century, the Angel of Death looked young... too young. But then he was spinning away, wings flapping behind him so that he hovered over the ground as he sliced through anything that came too close for comfort. Even the skeletons a ways away weren't safe from his flames when their zombie counterparts came staggering too close. Soon enough, the dark forest was alight with burning undead creatures, providing a light source for you to stagger up to your feet as the Angel slid his sword back into it's scabbard. You weren't expecting him to round on you like he did, fire in his eyes. "What the hell are you doing?"

(Zombie apocalypse au :] small snipit) Trusting anyone in this shitshow of an apocalypse is the easiest way to get yourself killed. That's the number one rule I have. I've stuck to it for about 2 years in this apocalypse. I stuck with people for a few years before then, but they all ended with most people in the group dead. I have spent most of it keeping myself safe and making shelter. I live in a small cabin, about 30 minutes horse back from a neighboring town, I sometimes head there to trade and buy stuff. I've been living here alone for about a year, and nothing except a few zombies and animals have ever been around. BANG BANG BANG My head shot up from my book as I rose to my feet, tumbling to grab my Spear as I rushed to the door. I quickly looked through the peep hole to see a man and two children, one who was at his side crying and tightly gripping onto him. They were wearing a beanie and a long red skirt. The other was lying in the man's hands bullet wounds in his legs and cuts on his face. I quickly opened the door, ushering them inside. "Lie them down on the table," I spoke, rushing to grab bandages and anything that could be of use. The man lifted his kid onto my wooden table. I quickly rushed back over and quickly shoved a healing pot into the man's hand. "Help me apply it." I spoke firmly, determination rushing over me. He nodded. (Not my artwork)

The guard yelled as she got slapped across the face, "this is your fault!" "No! Please..." she cried out as she saw the winged man laying on the ground. He was bleeding and she couldn't do anything to help him., "I have to heal him! Please! Let me heal him before you take me away!" "I told you to shut up!" She got slapped again and landed on the cold ground covered in snow. She placed her chained hands to her face and started crying as she saw them take a torch to her house. "No...please...Jack, don't do this." She cried and the captain of the guards walked up to her, "Why...Jack...why are you doing this?" "Why? Because the kingdom needs you back. I know you have your memories back now. So don't act like you don't know." He grabs her cheeks as tears stream down her face, "But this time you won't be able to run away."
