But have you ever heard of the person behind the call, the one that sends for help and aids the innocent once she returns? No? Well, this is the story of such a person, a neighbour of a kidnapped girl that lived the whole thing, and helped out every way she could. *This is a short story of how people will always regret the things in the past. #676 Science fiction on January 9th 2018 ~~~~~~~~ Sometimes, every now and then, a scientific experiment works. And, if it works, a small percentage of the time, the subjects are let loose, given a certain freedom they had never experienced. And that's what I had now. Freedom. After around ten years of making sure my neural system was intact, the metal surrounding me grew with my body and the batteries didn't poison my immune system, I was given the option of getting out of CARESS, also known as Centre of Adolescents in Rehab after the Effect of Scientific Surgery, and live a normal life. Well, as normal as it could get for a teenage girl with giant metal wings stuck behind her back. ~~~~~~~~ "You remind me of Maleficent... But with blue wings... And definitely more badass." "Who?" " You know, the girl that poisoned Sleeping beauty?" "I repeat. Who?" "We are so watching that. [ROUND TWO QUALIFIER ONC] Hera Collins, the daughter of two well-known heroes, has to survive leaving London and everything she has ever known behind and decide whether being good - following her parents' footsteps - is the path she wants to take. Hera has always been told what her future will be, what with her mother being Light - a powerful Lorem with the ability to bend light - and her father being Crow - the hero who saved London from a hurricane - she is expected to uphold the family lineage. But then one day, London is taken under siege by the Dominus Gang, all the Lorem she knows thrown into camps - or worse, killed - for the sole reason of having powers. Now she is left on her own, her feelings towards non-powered people very negative due to their similarity to the group of criminals. What happens when our sixteen-year-old Hera is left alone in the city of Venice after escaping London with her aunt, leaving her parents behind? Six days later, King George III of the United Kingdom died from a mental illness. In 1830, no more than ten years later, King George IV of the United Kingdom died from obesity. In 1837, Princess Louise Eleonore of Hohenlohe-Langenburg from Germany died from unknown causes. A month or so later, King William IV of the United Kingdom died from a heart attack. ~~~ Who would have ever thought that all of these deaths, between many more, were all part of a bigger plan, one that would take decades to fulfill, and hundreds of lives. Who would have ever imagine that all of this would start with one letter misplaced inviting a young girl to the marriage of a German princess and a prince in line. Who would have ever seen it coming for the young girl to kill the princess, and walk down the aisle in her name. And who would have ever anticipated that all of those deaths and lies where for one joyous dream, imagined by thousands of people. Because feminism, although hidden from sight, has been in our world since humankind was created, fighting a silent war towards the equality between genders, even if it meant killing for it. ~~~ "Are you ready for this, my child?" "I was born ready," ~~~ A historical story blending reality and fiction, turning it into one enticing short story about a brave girl trying to find herself in the middle of a silent war. ~~~ Review @AdaTheRomComAddict : I really enjoyed reading this. First, I loved how each of the chapter names was indicating another trait, with the initial of the word WOMEN. Second, I loved the figurative language you used. I had to screenshot some of them to be able to re-read them forever. That's how good they were! Third, I loved that the last chapter is purely dedicated to talking about Everett, or Blossom's, new life. I loved this book. Thanks for the great read!

Her need to protect and serve sends her to the Imperium Police Department, her first job consisting of going undercover and bringing the powered people that don't abide by the law to justice, protecting the city in the process.
