The few survivors of the Westerburg incident are jerks, the sole survivor of the Ewen High fire, Carrie White, is mentally scarred for reasons unknown, and three new students, Evan Hansen, and Connor and Zoe Murphy, have moved into the area, adding more unnecessary pressure for Jeremy and his friends. But things get interesting when their lives start to intertwine. Jeremy gets caught in Carrie's decent into madness, Connor and Christine pretend that she was close with Heather Chandler, who had previously taken Zoe under her wing, and now Veronica is trying to save her from the Heathers, all while she, Michael, and Evan try to figure out what the heck is going on.
