Based on the poem Girls and Boys Come Out to Play. The pied piper was defeated years ago after decimating an entire village. Only Grandpa was able to resist the song and defeat him, back when he was young. That's actually how he met Grandma. But now a new piper with a newer, stronger song is playing, and the village doesn't know what to do. Grandpa is too old to fight, which leaves his granddaughter. She is showing signs of being immune to the tune.

Following a disastrous break up of his parents, Piper is forced into a world that he doesn't understand. The children are going missing. Aided only by Mr Fiedler, his eccentric teacher and the mysterious goth guy he knows little about, he will track this killer down. The Pied Piper will drag him from home into a world or deceit, murder and insanity.

The old house was dark, very dark. "How did I get here?" I thought to myself. The large room I stood in had hardwood floors, a bed in front of me with a nightstand and lamp beside it, then a door to my back. Strange, I never turned around to look for a door. "Hello." A woman's raspy voice sounded from the pitch-black room to my right that seemed to have just appeared out of thin air. She emerged from the opaque darkness, her shoulder-length, well brushed dark hair almost matching the shadows. She was taller than me, with a knee length sweater, jeans, and a once-white t-shirt. She seemed friendly, but like she was forcing it. "H-hi." I reciprocated a fake smile. "Where am I?"

Once upon a time there was a collection of fairytales. We know how they all go, we know how they all end- with a happily ever after. What if that wasn't the case? What if those fairytales you find in the library were frauds that had been sugar-coated to sound sweet and innocent? Well guess what, that's exactly right.
