But, he wasn't a hero, he was a hero for hire. He was a man people would pay to do a job. When the town didn't pay him, he snapped. He decided to sic the rats on everyone in the town, watching his foul pets feast on the dead. Except for the children. He decided to spare the children. It wasn't an act of mercy. Far from it, as a matter of fact. It was so he could be entertained. Some he would watch drown, others he would send to a distant land where they were sure to die, others he locked in his cave. So, you see the Pied Piper wasn't a hero - far from it. But then again, history is told by the victors.

Growing up in the Enchanted Forest hadn't been easy, but with my two closest friends at my side, I was content. But not everyone can have happy ending, right? It is almost intoxicating. I don't really know how to explain it to you. There's something about those warm brown eyes, it keeps me locked in. It's as if I'm frozen in place, every time he looks my way. Those eyes, they hold something far deeper than some may truly understand. You know when you were younger and your parents used to tell you those children stories such as Hansel and Gretel? Well, He's like that old myth, the Pied Piper. He keeps me in tune with his music. He's dangerous. But I don't I care anymore. Like I said before, it is almost intoxicating. He's my Pied Piper.
