this is book 1 of three prequel books, which tell the stories of the doctor's version incarnations in the overworld. in this story, the doctor 7th incarnation, found himself planning ahead to save the overworld, this plan involves taking something from the Piglin vaults. and he knows the perfect person to help him do it, while they the doctor uncovers the terrible secret of the Piglin king's treasures, a beacon transmitting to the deadliest race the doctor knows, the Daleks!

Techno just wanted a quiet peaceful summer away from everyone. His family doesn't care and he gets to hang out with his father and brothers! Tommy woke up to a world of pain, stuck in a room with a psychotic madman with one blocked exit. He was high on adrenaline, fear, and abandonment of self worth, and he does not regret what he did. Needless to say, he is grateful for the extra chance he was given, but doesn't understand.... why. Nor does remember why he needed an extra chance to begin with.
