This started as a blog about what Catholics believe and why. I am following the outline of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Part 1 begins with the Nicene Creed, which forms the base for almost every Christian tradition. Each part focuses on one line or phrase of the Nicene Creed. In Part 2 I will look at the Celebration of the Christian Mystery, which focuses on the liturgy and the seven sacraments: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders and Matrimony. Part 3 will focus on the Life in Christ, while Part 4 will look at prayer.

The Memoirs of Herod Agrippa II - Plot summary This is the story of Herod Agrippa II, son of Herod Agrippa I and great-grandson of Herod the Great, a story that includes such figures as Augustus, Pompey, Cleopatra, Jesus (who story appears only as background events) Herod the Great, Pontius Pilate, The emperors Claudius (born on the same day as Agrippa I), Tiberius, Nero, Caligula and Titus, son of Vespasian, Messalina, Agrippina, etc. It includes the Roman civil wars, the fall of Jerusalem and the year of the four emperors among many others. The story follows the ups and downs of Agrippa's life. When Titus attached Jerusalem he was still in the middle, forced to send archers to help the siege against his own compatriots. He was there to witness the fall of the city, standing on Scopus a hill opposite the city. He then went to Rome for a time, was made a praetor and helped Josephus write his famous history, a skill he had learned form Claudius. He then returned to the desolate Jerusalem where he died in his old palace which was falling into ruins like the city around it as his co-religionists began fermenting yet another rebellion against Rome. I do hope you enjoyed this first chapter. More below. Votes and comments always most welcome.

Claiming to be King, Yeshu enters a revolution against Roman domination, but do not know what actually is part of a conspiracy to make Herod king, and that he will have to die at the hands of the Romans, to forge his resurrection, and his supposed resurrection body proclaim Herod king of Israel, but that plan goes out of control and has an ending that surprises even Herod. Holding her breath, Claudia lay her head down against the ground and willed herself to be somewhere else. Anywhere else. When she had desired more adventure in her life, this was not at all what she meant! While the garden they were in was beautiful, with uniform, perfectly dispersed trees that let the evening sun shine through with a heavenly golden light, and well-kept paths for anyone to walk, Claudia wished she was enjoying the scenery as a visitor, rather than a fugitive. She could not see Lucius at all from her position, but she could hear him as he moved like a panther through the garden, the rustle of grass his only giveaway. What was he planning to do? Did he have a plan at all? For a long, long time, the garden remained silent. In fact, Claudia was about ready - nay, desperate - to stand up and look around, when from a distance she heard a shout, the clinking of swords, a terrible 'squish' sound, then nothing at all. ** Follow the journey of two distinguished members of the Roman Empire, during the time of Christ's ministry on the earth as they discover the true meanings of 'love', and 'sacrifice'... ** This story switches between two points of view, the switches marked clearly by '***'. This story does not contradict teachings of the Bible, but merely shows the happenings of Jesus' death, burial and resurrection from a different perspective. I hope you enjoy the read, and learn something new about our wonderful God! *If you enjoyed this book please also read it's short story spin off, 'The Traitor Inside'. Thank you!*
