I do not own Steven Universe or any of its characters. Cover was mostly made by LordKaiser1995 on DeviantArt. Rose Lives AU is an AU where Rose lives when creating Steven, giving Steven the mother he needed for the regular universe. But Rose and soon to be Pink Diamond existing will twist the story in interesting ways... This is my first story, so just keep that in mind.

The Diamonds were grieving after Pink Diamond's shattering. They decided to avenge her by shattering Rose Quartz. They almost did; Rose Quartz barely managed to escape, however, their battle left a crack in her gem. Not being able to heal it by herself and being in shock at how many of her comrades were shattered, they lost the war. Earth became a colony. Rose saved those she could, until eventually the crack grew enough and she was broken. Luckily, she had met Gregory Universe and left her children behind with him. The greatest breakout on Earth! Lapis Lazuli has loved circuses and carnivals ever since she was a baby. But a birthday trip to the Diamond Sisters' Circus takes a dramatic turn when the circus owner kidnaps the young girl. Now, Lapis is held as a working prisoner and cannot leave the fairgrounds. Her only chance of escape is to ally herself with some of the circus workers, but Lapis only has until the end of the week or else she'll never see her parents again.

The truth is out. Rose Quartz, the leader of the Crystal Gem rebellion, was Pink Diamond all along. It shocked all of the Gems, but Steven was the most affected. His anger now only grows, seeing that his mother, who he once looked up too, was nothing more than a coward, a murderer, and a liar. What pushes him over the edge is when Pearl and the other Crystal Gems still want him to be like her. Pearl doesn't realize, though, that she will set off a chain of events that nobody could've predicted, starting with her 'baby' going back to when it all began. She thought everyone had died; Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, Greg, even herself... as a half human name Steven, but apparently that didn't happen, none of them even existed...yet. Yellow says it was an imagination that Pink Diamond created in her mind, but that's impossible, that couldn't be, she seen this all before as Stevonnie through Pink Diamonds eyes.
