something i've been working on periodically but FINALLY finished a few weeks ago

I don't usually like stories where the main character is the author. They just... I don't like them, that's all. I'll put myself in stories at times for comic relief, but I would never be the main character. At least, that's what I thought. I write a lot...in my mind. Sometimes I'm the main character but that quickly changes and I'm no longer a part, a character similar to me gets created. Most of the time, her name is Anne, Caroline, Mary, Lily, Julie, Joni, you know. Names that might have been more common in the '50s, '60s, or '70s. I never thought that one day, one of my "mind stories" would come true and I would be forced to play lead. And let me tell you, it sucks.
