Pippa Fitz-Amobi, known for solving the Andie Bell case, is drawn to Bellhollow when she receives an anonymous message urging her to investigate Violet's disappearance. The message contains a photograph of the Hollow Grave with the chilling note: "Find her before she finds you." Upon arriving, Pippa quickly learns she isn't the only investigator interested in this case. Wednesday Addams, always intrigued by the macabre and twisted, has also arrived in Bellhollow, having been mysteriously invited by a local historian to explore the town's "rich history of death." Pippa and Wednesday are initially wary of each other. Pippa, driven by logic, facts, and a clear sense of justice, contrasts Wednesday's dark fascination with the morbid and her indifference to the emotions tied to death. However, they both recognize that they need to combine their talents to uncover the truth.
