Five years have passed, Luca, Alberto, and Giulia have grown, many things changed and some stayed the same. Things like the fact that Massimo had adopted Alberto shortly after Luca first left for school or Ercole becoming as mean as ever. It's the summer of 1974, Giulia and Luca return home from Genova back to Porto rosso. Everything seems as normal as ever until emotions go their way with not only our trio. And if puberty wasn't enough to handle, two newcomers arrive.

Being a sea-monster on the coast of the Italian Rivera is hard enough for 13 year old Luca, but finding out he likes his only friend is even worse. He never wants to lose Alberto. Please read the Acknowledgements before reading, it has things I'd like to clear up.

When Luca leaves for school with Giulia he misses Alberto and his family more than his family. But mostly Alberto. Luckily he got to write to Alberto, he already had fishes swimming in his stomach when writing to him or even thinking about him. What was that feeling? Luca x alberto

Luca and Alberto are writing to each other while he's gone at school with gulia. when Luca comes back Alberto confesses his love for Luca.

Luca tried not to spend too much time daydreaming about romance. But he knew that once he saw that tall, tan boy with his overly confident smirk, he'd be thinking about romance all day. This was torture. This is a Human AU with "Oh no! My best friend's brother is hot" but Luca angsty about it and doesn't know how to deal with it. In Genova, school is finally out for two Underdogs, Luca and Giulia, who are both more than excited to go back to Portorosso and reunite with Alberto. But as they make a return to the town, so does someone else who they thought was out of the picture for good....who Alberto first knew him as Signor Vespa.... After the trio hears a rumor going around town that Ercole is planning the biggest sea monster hunt ever known to history, the Underdogs are Portorosso's, better yet Italy's, only hope of keeping the sea monster species alive... Luca the introverted one and Alberto the extroverted one, both hide the same feelings for each other. But Luca also has feelings for another which makes Alberto highly jealous, he decides and tries to become very close with him. Do they ever confess this particular love they secretly have for each other? Do they stay friends? Do they convert to strangers? Just wait and see/read for yourself. I have gay little Italian fish brain rot so this is just Alberto and Luca in that one fireworks scene or Alberto realizes he sees more in Luca than he originally thought. This is a luberto story based of the 70s AU made by numjumo (check it out its really cute) if the creator of the AU wants me to remove it i will Perhaps remove this book. (Discontinued!! Thank for the tip TheRealestMeep!)
