CW: probably about a TV-14 for death and violence, and one chapter that directly mentions child abuse. Katie Gardner has just found out she is a demigod. She finds herself at Camp Half-Blood, and guess who sent her? This is a Percy Jackson fanfiction. Rick Riordan owns the rights to many of the characters, but I take credit for the story itself. *UPDATE* Also, I haven't been updating this story much, but I plan on coming back to it in the spring, so check in then :).

She never showed how much it hurt. How the men insisted they could show her what it was like-how it felt-to be a woman. And it isn't until she stumbles upon a wide open farm field with a single woman dressed in trousers, suspenders and all, with sleeves rolled to the elbow working at the dirt that she's seen someone like her. She's vaguely aware of the words coming from her mouth and the slight tip of her hat as she dismounts her horse. All she can think of to say is, "need any help miss?"

When Steve Rogers receives a call from Social services saying one of his best friends died and the child of that best friend was supposed to go to their god father, Steve is sister shook. Now, along with being an Avenger, he has to raise a five year old..? (This story does not follow the Avengers storyline completely because I'm too lazy to figure out how to implement the child. Also yes I know everyone does this but... I wanted to jump on the bandwagon too.. is that the right metaphor?)
