A story of a seventeen year old boy living with the loss of his older brother 6 years later. After the death he had no family left- forcing him to be placed into foster care and living with a family he cant seem to connect with in Pará De Minas even 4 years after of living with them. Sure he has a girlfriend-a family that tries to connect, it will never be enough. It feels like constantly navigating how to be happy.

Eric Yamata is used to the stares-the whispers, the assumptions, the way people step aside when he walks down the hall. At 17, he's mastered the art of keeping his head down and his heart guarded. With a towering frame and a reputation for being "scary," no one dares to get close. No one, until Mari Kobaya. Mari, with her endless energy and infectious smile, is the complete opposite of Eric. She's the girl who talks to everyone, makes friends effortlessly, and doesn't take crap from anyone. But when she starts noticing the boy who seems invisible to everyone else, Eric's carefully built walls start to crack. As Mari digs deeper, she finds a kind, thoughtful side of Eric that no one else sees. And for the first time in years, Eric wonders if someone might actually see him-not the scary guy, not the loner, but just... him. But getting close to Mari isn't as easy as it seems. Between her protective friends, nosy siblings, and Eric's own insecurities, letting her in could mean risking everything. He's spent years hiding. Is he ready to let someone in?

She's so alone. Always alone. She can't find anyone that's would take her, after what's happened to her. Her parents abandoned her, her so called "boyfriend" abandoned her. She's all alone now. He's done some things he's not so proud of, and he's hoping a new start will erase all the bad, but when he moved he didn't expect to find someone so alone, so scared, so weak. He just had to help her, he had to make sure she was ok, he had to take care of her, no matter what. And he didn't even know anything about her yet!! He just had to keep her safe, but she wouldn't let him. She pushed him away so he couldn't help her. She doesn't want him to help. She hates him, yet she doesn't even know him. She doesn't want to let anyone inside her heart, it's to broken. Is this story just doomed for sadness? Or can they maybe find some happiness somewhere? Read and find out.
