Death came at 4 year old Kira and her family in a car crash. Not wanting to be an orphan and being sent off to an orphanage, she ran to the safety of the forest only to be attacked by wolves. Fortunately, she was rescued not by humans but highly intelligent apes that hid from the humans to avoid getting experimented on. The Ape Alpha and Female Alpha, Julius and Amelia took Kira in as their own. Years passed and Kira was captured after she rescued her little brother from a human trap and was sent to a California Ape Prison where she meets a whole new bunch of apes and an ape that was raised by humans. Together, the two became fast friends and plotted against the humans to rescue the apes from slavery. Will they succeed in escaping?

Takes place before Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, then during. An ill mother can no longer take care of her child... She does something no mother would even think of doing... ~ Caesar had an adopted father, who was human. Amelia Winscott, a 19 year old girl who's almost completely blind and her best friend Grace are in the prime of the Planet of the Apes. Grace was Amelia's eyes and the only one to lead her through the dangers of the new world. When terror strikes and people attack, Amelia finds herself left to adapt to her life alone in the wilderness. But when Caesar and other apes find her and come to her need, emotions will fly and chaos will strike. Her deepest feelings and darkest secrets will be revealed and change her life for the better or worse.
