Amelia Winscott, a 19 year old girl who's almost completely blind and her best friend Grace are in the prime of the Planet of the Apes. Grace was Amelia's eyes and the only one to lead her through the dangers of the new world. When terror strikes and people attack, Amelia finds herself left to adapt to her life alone in the wilderness. But when Caesar and other apes find her and come to her need, emotions will fly and chaos will strike. Her deepest feelings and darkest secrets will be revealed and change her life for the better or worse.

The thick foliage above hides us from the suns raze and consequently from their eyes, I can hear them, they're so close now, their muscular bodies forcing the trees to bend with them and they swing from the barren branches, shaking the snow that rests on them to the forest floor. My lungs burn from my exertion, begging me to stop, but I cant if I stop I'm dead. I fought too hard, too long, and lost too many to stop now. I want to tell you a story...but doesn't mean the ending is happy...this isn't my story...no.. while I'm a part of it this story is not mine...this is about a young chimp named Cloud...he was curious...he was sweet...eager to learn...he was my friend, he would have helped changed the future between apes and humsns..but...but sadly he was taken too soon.....
