Inside this future world where humans chose Plastic over the Planet, this family travels to the usually busy Ocean City to find it both unoccupied and not an ideal vacation place.

In a new and upcoming reality of our world, a new generation that has never seen a real plant, dirt... water. In this now plastic covered planet, everything has been made artificially. Genius scientists have discovered a way to artificially create anything and everything. It's not quite the same, it just doesn't seem right. But all the plastic is still unmoved. Leaving water bottles as their grassy fields and giant tangles of plastic straws and broken glass as bushes.

A little penguin doesn't understand much about humans and their cruel natures. He wishes for Antarctica to be a better place like how his great uncle claimed it was many years ago...

The water that forms the gentle, meandering rivers and kisses one's cheeks as pattering rain is the same water that makes roaring tsunamis and angry, root ripping torrents. Water was made to heal. But what happens the Ocean can no longer heal because She needs to be healed Herself? Water, in the end, will be whatever it needs to be. *** My third entry for National Geographic's writing competition, 'Planet or Plastic'.

This is my entry for the #PlanetOrPlastic competition.

(This is my first time publishing in English, so please have mercy on me.) Microplastics, small and barely visible, are about to rule the world. They pollute the environment and every organism that lives in it, infiltrate them gradually, poisoning them, until the day they'll become murderers. To get killed from the inside without noticing it and with not being able to do something against it - humanity has dug its own grave long before. But not only humans are going to get harmed, animals will get as well. The murderer who cannot be seen is the worst of all. The murderer who cannot be seen is the most effective serial killer you've ever seen. Come, take a seat and grab a cookie while listening to the story of Mic, the microplastic-killer we've created. Note: This contest was launched by @NationalGeographic to draw more attention to a worldwide problem. A problem which concerns you and me, your parents and neighbours as well. Therefore i'm going to publish a 500 word short story in english.

I am plastic and i will tell you i am the better one between me and you.

These waters were static, cackling at her, chaining her down, and suffocating her. The death that awaits her is silent and painful; slowly, and surely sinking into the depths of the ocean.
