The sides have always been essential parts of Thomas. So what if, suddenly...one of them wasn't?

Virgil Bast grew up in a poor neighborhood in New Orleans, learning from his family's work ethic and never once slowing down from the day he could get a job of his own. He's always been kept company by his best friend, Patton La Bouff, son of the richest man in New Orleans. Prince Roman of Maldonia has always been surrounded by praise, money, and /almost/ anything he could ever want. Prince Remus, on the other hand, has never really been what you might call the pride of Maldonia. And the Shadow Man has only ever wanted to punish those who've done wrong, helped along by his Friend on the Other Side.

Virgil Storm spends most of his time avoiding anxiety attacks as well as people while at school, and tries to avoid home all together. Life isn't easy for any of them, but together, maybe it will be a bit less bad.

The next day when he sees the man has bandages where Roman had accidentally stabbed the wolf. Today the man seems a bit scared of Roman now, but why?

Virgil is homeless and running from his past. Attempting to survive on the streets, he struggles to find his purpose in life. An unusual meeting causes him to befriend Patton, Roman and Logan and with them by his side, his future starts to look less bleak.

In an effort to help both kingdoms Roman's and Virgil (now acting King Virgil) make a truce and put aside their differences. Roman and his two friends, Marquess Patton and Lord Logan, join Virgil in this epic quest to save their brothers, and the Dark Realm kingdom. Like any great tale this book is filled with Fear! Love!
